Creating Follow The Leader Acrylic on Canvas from my photographs cptured at North Third Stirlingshire
Work in progress...Seaside Sandstorm working from memory painting on the floor ..inspired by Aberdeen's wild beach new experimental techniques which I am exploring just now April 2016
Work in progress working from memory and accidental suggestion of paint...impressions of Scotland's beaches around the Forth Estuary
Tightening up ideas and impressions suggested by the paint and colours...I have an idea of colours and memory impression which I loosely paint then add to next day or so depending on the feeling of the work
Title: Tulips In Red Medium: Acrylic on canvas...Inspired by my Red Tulips growing in my beloved garden...my garden is a 'mixup' of plants and colours...this feeds into my artwork and inspires a wildness within the painting. Plants are from seed and bought, placed and also allowed to 'seed-around by-themselves' allowing nature and myself to work together. My garden is within The Forth Vally which was scheduled for a new motorway which would have destroyed the Valley, this was rejected and other measures were taken ...so glad.....I live, paint and garden within the old mining village of Banknock five minutes walk from the forth and Clyde Canal. Title: 'Terns at Home over Montrose Basin' Medium: Acrylic on canvas. Inspired by evening light from a train window...quickly photographed...the train had paused for a bit.. which passes by very close to the Montrose Basin seen coming down from Aberdeen this was the perfect viewpoint to remember .... to capture the drama of 'gathering dusk' highlighted by the flying Terns which are very acrobatic in flight and are now nesting around this area.

Title: 'Oystercatchers-Foraging To and Fro' Medium: Acrylic on canvas.
Inspired by Oystercatchers seen and heard around Fife. They definitely add to the enjoyment of a walk...they are at home within all the seaweed shells and sand, busy going to and fro along the coast foraging for cockles. More info can be found on the internet: http://www.rspb.org.uk/discoverandenjoynature/discoverandlearn/birdguide/name/o/oystercatcher/
Title:Terns Flying over Blackness Castle Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Inspired by Blackness Bay overlooking Blackness Castle and the Forth Road and part of the Rail Bridge(before the next new bridge, which seems to disappear from sight into the village/castle area depending on weather conditions). Lots of walking and wildlife to be seen ...forest and beach with historic Castle... including Terns seabirds and boats as well as the opposite side looking over to Fife, with fantastic changing dramatic skies and seas with the beach full of seaweed and dark sands... more information at this site:
