'Dancing Dragonfly-Nature's Balance' Screenprint edition.  Tiger Lilly's with Pollinating Insects Screenprint Edition
Picture

Picture
Dancing Dragonfly-Nature's Balance....I created this Screen-print to highlight the importance people working WITH nature. The Dragonfly Dances on the Forth n Clyde Canal near my home around June/July time when the conditions are just right...this delicate balance of the world must be maintained by humanity if we want to keep our planet and its beautiful Dance of Nature for future generations. There is much beauty to behold at any given time all around us take care of the planet and maintain its delicate balance.
Picture
Title ' Tiger Lillie's-with Pollinating Insects'.  I created this screen print as one depends on the other....This team work is a delicate combination...insects pollinate our garden plants and crops.  This is a twosome of nature working together for the allowing both to grow and live.  Humanity can learn from nature.

Title ' Moody Cats' Pencil/Ink Pen/ Indian Ink Framed

Moody Cats Half way point..... in the making....I have two cats and my Mum has two cats so I am able to understand and observe there many moods.....

Picture

ays had one two or even three cats.....among other animals....so they have been my life long companions as I was -----------------------an only child and they filled a big void with their constant company and character.  So it seems natural for me to photograph and sketch them and they end up in my paintings.

Picture

This is Dennis The Menace ...he has managed to get into my little Studio.....dropping hairs as he walks along.......he is in the painting, he is the can lying down rubbing into the snow, while I walked him and the Dog TOGETHER......out and about in Banknock a few years ago.

Title 'Dancing Ducks' FW Ink/ Ink Pen Framed

Picture

Inspired and created from the ducks that live on the forth n Clyde Canal close to my home...they dance around all day  happy and social giving me many happy hours observing, them, drawing and photographing them without being annoyed in any way by my being their on the opposite Canal Bank.

Picture

Forth and Clyde Canal with domestic Ducks close to my home and Inspiration for many artworks including Dancing Ducks.

Title ' The Sky's The Limit' Graphite/pencil/FW Ink Framed

Picture

The inspiration for this painting comes from the idea of freedom....freedom of the inner self to 'be all they can be' Life can very much get in the way especially for women with their many domestic tasks of the day.  The concept of breaking free and using the metaphor of Doves which to me is spiritual beauty on the wing is natural and moving.  The title comes form my Mum as when we were flush and she got her wages we could have some treats like going to the" Moveeees" what I asked for if it was 'do-able' she said ooo yes "The Skys The Limit"................. for a few days...she worked all her life in shops n factories.......Mum is 81 years young

Picture

The working title was Reach For The Sky....Be all You Can Be But The Sky's The Limit slowly came to me as the painting developed......my Mum as many mums do has worked hard....but she broke free and The Sky Was The Limit whenever she could have it giving me a sense of fun and a sense of freedom whenever possible... so I hope this is part of the painting to break free from domestic tasks and commitments in life ................

Title ' Love At First Sight' FW Ink/Ink Pen/Acrylic Framed

Picture

These two Geese were part white and part Gray ...they were part of a group and displayed social qualities even human qualities so sweet .....this became love at first sight.

Picture

This is Ink sketch stage, with white Acrylic for the ink to run over.... on stretched watercolour paper, using a watercolour stretcher which is so light I can manipulate the ink to run around the painting giving the feeling of water and environment necessary for the geese.
